Tyler is a partner of Christian, Johnson, Sluga & Mushmeche, and devotes his practice to litigation, primarily focusing on the firm’s complex commercial matters, toxic torts and premises liability practice. Tyler has significant courtroom experience, including successfully trying several jury and bench trials on matters ranging from insurance bad faith, fraud, negligent security and premises liability. Additionally, he has appellate practice experience, having successfully presented several writs and appeals before the Nevada Supreme Court. Tyler has been awarded the highest possible rating of AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated from Martindale-Hubbell.

Recent Accomplishments
  • Nationstar Mortgage v. Rodriguez – obtained appellate reversal of judgement against Nationstar Mortgage, LLC for approximately $250,000, including a $100,000 sanction (2016)
  • Moonin v. Nevada ex rel Its Dep’t of Pub. Safety Highway Patrol, et al. – obtained summary judgment on all claims against client in alleged RICO cause of action (2014)
  • Defensed numerous negligent security cases including the following: Lewis v. Treasure Island – defensed negligent security/false arrest claims (2015); Fisher v. Railroad Pass – defensed $1 million negligent security claim (2012); Carey v. Bellagio – defensed negligent security/assault and battery claim (2011)
  • Jordan v. GEICO – obtained judgment in the amount of $955,000, including fees and cost, in insurer bad faith jury trial (2013)
  • State Farm v. Ceja – successfully obtained declaratory relief that numerous claimed motor vehicle accidents were staged/fraudulent and, therefore, were not covered under the subject insurance policy (2015)
  • KSSJ v. Asta Funding – obtained summary judgment in client’s favor for $100,000 breach of contract claim (2012)
