Cara L. Christian

Cara Christian is an Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico-licensed associate whose practice primarily consists of insurance coverage and commercial litigation. She is a 2018 through 2021 Super Lawyers Rising Stars honoree and a 2021 and 2022 Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch honoree. Cara is a 2020 graduate of the State Bar of Arizona’s Bar Leadership Institute and a 2016 graduate of Ladder Down, a business development program for women lawyers. Cara serves on the State Bar of Arizona Civil Practice and Procedure Committee and the Arizona Women Lawyers Association Steering Committee. She served on the executive board of the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel’s Young Lawyers Division from 2015 to 2018.

Cara is a magna cum laude, Order of the Coif graduate of Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, where she was a member of the Arizona State Law Journal, earned four CALI awards for academic excellence, and received Highest Pro Bono Distinction for her work with the Maricopa County Superior Court and Volunteer Legal Assistance for Artists.

Cara earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Davidson College in North Carolina, with a major in English and minor in Spanish. She attended Columbia University’s School of Journalism in New York and taught middle school and high school English, Spanish and French in South Carolina before traveling to Los Angeles to work in reality television production. Cara gained admission to the State Bar of Arizona in May 2015, the State Bar of Nevada in May 2017, and the State Bar of New Mexico in April 2021.

Cara spends much of her free time volunteering with the Maricopa and Pinal Counties council of Girls on the Run, a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring girls to be joyful, healthy and confident, using an experienced-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. She has served on the organization’s Board of Directors since 2016.
