L. Renee Green is an associate at Kravitz, Schnitzer & Johnson where she has a general practice with an emphasis on insurance defense, insurance bad faith, premise liability, and commercial litigation. She defends insurers and represents insureds in claims arising from incidents surrounding occurrences related to uninsured motorist claims, homeowners’ claims, and commercial general liability policies. Ms. Green also advises clients on business practices, underwriting, and claims handling.

Ms. Green graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. While at the University of Florida, Ms. Green placed multiple times on the Dean’s List and President’s Honor Role. She subsequently received her Juris Doctor from William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. While in law school, she was selected as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Elizabeth Gonzalez at the Eighth Judicial District in Nevada and was a bankruptcy instructor for the Legal Aid of Southern Nevada’s Bankruptcy program.

Professional and Recent Accomplishments
  • The Nevada Supreme Court affirmed summary judgment barring a party from seeking a multi-million dollar contribution and equitable indemnity claim against our client. DTC failed to properly perfect its rights to bring the claim under contribution statute and under equitable indemnity principles. DTC v. Fisher Sand & Gravel, No. 69103 (Nev. 2017).
  • Defended without a recovery a lawsuit related to a catastrophic injury as result of various torts committed by the plaintiff
  • Defended without recovery a lawsuit related to a motor vehicle accident from which the revealed questionable medical treatment
  • Successfully defended a hotel casino client from all liability related to claims of false imprisonment; negligence; assault; battery; and negligent security, training, and hiring
